No one should have to struggle to provide food for themselves or their families but, unfortunately, this is the reality for many people.
If you're worried about facing a food shortage, you can use this map to find emergency food support available near you.
It's a good idea to contact the organisation in advance, as normal service and opening hours may be disrupted due to coronavirus regulations, and changes in the tier system.

I find it so sad that families in 2020 living in the worlds 5th richest nation should have to rely on charities for food, where have we gone wrong? what has brought us to this position where 1.5 million food parcels were handed out last year? where 4 million children live in relative poverty? and where tonight of all nights too many children will have gone to bed hungry? And where tomorrow too many parents will not get enough to eat so that their children do get enough?
It is a sad reflection that a society that this year has rallied round to help some people through the covid crisis cannot demand that food poverty MUST end, it can be done it just takes those of us who do not suffer from food poverty to demand that no one should anymore.
It appears we have the long awaited trade deal with the EU and with the coming of the vaccination for CV19 the light has appeared at the end of another tunnel.
Let us make food poverty history our next priority.
Rant over.
Happy Christmas to one and all
