I’ve heard there are hold ups in the post generally. Bills seem to get through okay though ☹️

My best friend used to be a postie. He reckons things have gone to pot since he retired. Seems he was right.

On locdown where I am the post only comes every two days because the staff are off with corona virus and at one point there was no one to run the sorting office

Blimey @woodbine! I also had a Christmas card come through quite late that had been sent with a first class stamp.
Royal Mail are experiencing delays due to coronavirus and related issues at the moment. The amount of items being sent has hugely increased, and they obviously have to ensure that the necessary safety measures are in place. -
One of my elderly relatives hadn't had any post for two weeks over the Christmas period. She has no internet and missed lots of cards & bills that she was expecting.
Eventually her neighbour complained to RM and it turned out the whole street had missed a delivery for 2 weeks! It arrived the day after in a huge pile!
I appreciate that lots of people are off currently but I don't understand why they didn't get a nearby postman to swap routes at least once a week, if not every other day.
