Many years ago when still married My wife and I were on holiday in Florida. On one of our visits to Disneyworld we decided to have lunch in the Rainforest Cafe.
Whilst we were waiting for our orders to arrive we noticed a group of men walk in, black suits, sunglasses and the curly wired ear-pieces. At first I thought it was going to be some kind of entertainment because Disney do a lot of these types of spontaneous shows around the park.
My wife started to get a bit nervous thinking there was some kind of trouble until suddenly the group parted and into the Rainforest Cafe walked none other than Cher. I can honestly say she looks even more stunning in the flesh than she does on TV
That woman spent over half an hour walking around the cafe and spoke to people with no airs or pomp and was extremely gracious. She sat down at our table and asked us where we were from, how we were enjoying our day and how long we were in the US for. To this day I still cannot believe that I sat in a restaurant with one of the greatest musical and movie superstars ever!
So my question is - who is the most famous person you have ever met in your life?

I once saw local "celebrity" Bobby Knutt in a Bar, I didn't say hi or anything, the man was just sat quietly with a Pint, a man and his Pint aren't to be disturbed lol.. Sadly he passed away a few years back.
He was at the place because his wife was running a line dancing class there, which my Parents were doing.

Looks like people have met some really interesting celebs over the years

Also, in 2019 I saw the 7th Doctor, Sylvester McCoy at a Comic Con, I'd have said hi but I wasn't paying 25 quid for an autograph.

I can’t match some of the ones posted here but I have met the chef Kieth Floyd

Mrs Tishell from Doc Martin, Selina Cadell.
At a local garden centre, she was buying plants. she doesn’t wear that neck brace in real life you’ll be pleased to know. ?“This is my simple religion. No need for temples. No need for complicated philosophy. Your own mind, your own heart is the temple. Your philosophy is simple kindness.”

Before my mobility deteriorated I once played Bobby George at darts on a stage at an exhibition and received a damn good thrashing. Also, when I was younger and a Nightclub Manager, a taxi pulled up at the door one night and Alex Higgins got out of it. A different parson to the usual image he portrayed, he wanted a quiet drink and I spent the next hour with him trying to keep him from being pestered and harrassed. He was pleasant enough, signed autographs and bought all the staff a drink.

@Andy58 oh wow that is well cool I knew Eric Bristow before he went global lol I love darts

@lisathomas50 I don't love darts as much as I used to, can be a bit boring now, not as many"characters" as there used to be.

@Andy58 very true I cant remember their name but there is one dart player now with different colored hair proper character again not many disabled dsrt players
Pre covid where I live we set up dart playing for people with disabilitus we were amazed how many people came -
Oh yeah it's funny because I was once in a Darts comp at school, miraculously I was almost winning, and needed to finish on a double 3 to win and I did it! My old rival wasn't too chuffed lol.
