Hi my sons dla doesnt end until 2022, im confused about pip, my son turns 16 in Feb, do I have to apply for pip when his original claim for dla ends, or when he turns 16

HI,DWP will contact you, which is usually around the time of their 16th birthday. Providing you apply for the PIP by the date stated in the lettter then his DLA will continue until a decision's been made on the PIP.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
