Hi all
been for best part of a year trying to get a U50 form as I have increased issues and finally got one sent to me
i had no choice but to put form in a large envelope as my documentation did not fit there small envelope I sent it
signed for by Royal Mail
Royal Mail have told me today that a week later and the trace and track says it’s still in the system
I phoned Royal Mail who has told me that the DWP do not sign for letters as they received 100s a day
so no redress there
next I phoned the UC helpline only to be told surprise surprise they have not got it
i am really completely worn out by the system and find no matter what you do and how hard and difficult it is
to get any type of help from the DWP
any advice please as to what I can do now?
I have a telephone appointment tomorrow to discuss with them what’s happening
the job centre will not take any forms of letters what are you to do
I am sure this has happened to other people any views on this please would be most welcome
it seems abundantly clear the DWP will do its upmost to not give you the help that you deserve

Hi there
Don't give up a week until very long with current situation
Dwp post goes to a po box and 8s signed by royal mail not dwp , it then goes to dwp and has to be scanned onto their system before it will show as received by dwp
This can take a long time mine took 3 weeks that was b4 the covid
Dwp are allowing 3 months currently for return of forms for this reason so it is recognised how long it is taking0 -
Thank you for your replies I know you are correct about paying signed for delivery but I didn’t
really have much choice as the envelope was too small to put everything in
my receipt is proof of posting thankfully
and now it’s a waiting game to see if they hopefully have got it0 -
Fingers crossed they'll receive it soon @freshwaterlilly
I hope that your telephone appointment goes/has gone well today! Keep us updated. 0 -
Hi all
hope everyone is good
apparently they now have my UC50 form but I am not convinced
it really seems like no one really knows what’s going on 1st I was told by an advisor that they have not got my form
then I was told they did
then I was told that was the wrong information
Then finally after requesting a call I got to actually speak to someone who was listening
he made enquiries for me and I was then told they have got my form
i don’t expect to get anything what has made me anxious and stressed is the way you are treated
and everything is so difficult to get any answers
but at least they have my form now I think!0
