1. Winston Churchill won the General Election (aged 75 yrs).
2. British Board of Film Censors introduce X-Rated films.
3. The Archers was first broadcasted on BBC Light progamme.
4. Ferranti Mark 1 computer, invented at University of Manchester.
5. Denise the Menace, first appears in the Beano.
6. Festival of Britain takes place.
7. First broadcast of The Goon Show, takes place.
8. Newcastle United beat Blackpool, to win FA Cup (for the 4th time).
9. Guy Burgess defects to the Soviet Union.
10. I arrive on the planet.
That should keep any identity thieves busy, Away the Lads! -

Happy Anniversary for later this year. My husband and i will be celebrating being married for 53 yrs in 6th July which is also is my youngest sons birthday, he was born on our 4th wedding anniversary and 3 yrs after my eldest sons.
