My carers element has been backdated. How long does it take for them to authorise what they owe?

Hello so my careers element has been agreed to be back dated and I was told they recalculated my statements and what they owe and there waiting for authorisation how long does this take if anyone had theres backdated how long from the decision to payment

Hi like anything with dwp there are no set timescales and every case is different
I would leave it a couple of weeks then query it0 -

This is an old thread you've posted on and the person you've quoted hasn't returned since August 2021. It can take a few weeks to receive any money that's owed. First they need to recalculate your past statements to work out exactly how much they owe you. Once this is done you'll receive a letter onto your journal telling you how much exactly they owe.
