Hello @cloe and welcome to the community, good to see you join us.
It's normal to sometimes feel uncertain about things after your child receives a diagnosis, and I imagine this is quite an emotional time for your family, but you've done the right thing in reaching out for help.
As mentioned by Janer1967, hopefully Richard will get in touch with you through this thread, but otherwise is your child receiving all the support they require from their GP? Have you had conversations with them about how you could best support your child?Online Community CoordinatorConcerned about another member's safety or wellbeing? Flag your concerns with us.

Hi @cloe
It's really good to virtually meet you. Receiving a diagnosis can bring up a mix of emotions and it is very important for you to remember that there is no set way that you should feel.
Your daughter should be under the care of a paediatrician and should be given access to regular physiotherapy this will help with her mobility and coordination. We have lots of information about Cerebral Palsy and services such as Navigate and Parents Connect for families that have received a recent diagnosis.
I live with CP too and I'd be more than happy to talk to you over email about your thoughts and concerns. Please remember that you are not alone in your journey.Scope

Hi @cloe,
Welcome to the community and thank you for joining us. How are you? Receiving a diagnosis can bring an array of emotions and as @Richard_Scope has said there is no set way as to how you should feel. You may find you feel different emotions at different times. Thank you for reaching out, I can see you have had some great advice already and I just wanted to say that I also live with CP and would be happy to try and answer any questions you may have. We are a friendly and supportive community. Best wishes, thanks.
