Hi, I'm looking for advice. In 2016 I moved from income support and esa  to UC. From then I have not received and esa payment or been told I may be entitled to LCWRA. I gave not been asked to provide sick notes, or to attend any meetings or groups.  My support worker is under the expression that I should of been receiving the extra support as I was in receipt of esa before going onto UC . Is this the case?

    More information is needed before anyone can help you further.
    When you were claiming ESA which group were you in?
    When you transferred from ESA to UC was there any gaps in your ESA ending and you claiming UC?

    When I was on esa I wasn't expected to provide sicknotes or attend any meetings.  There were no gaps in between esa and my claim for UC.

    That tells me you were in the Support Group. If you claimed UC while you were still claiming ESA the you should have had the LCWRA element added to your claim from the start of your claim.

    I'd advise you to put a note on your journal telling them that when you claimed UC on X date you had been claiming ESA in the Support Group and the LCWRA element should have been added to your claim from the start.I'm not saying it will be an easy process though and it could take a while.

    Edit to add, the only time the LCWRA wouldn't have been added was if you were claiming UC with a partner that already had the LCWRA element included in their manximum UC entitlement because you can only have 1 LCWRA element added.

    Will that be for just the 4 months shich seams yo be the norm or will it be from dhen I first changed ho UC

    So from what you are saying am I right in thinking that as I was claiming esa when I made my UC claim I should of been payed lcwra and that will be backdated even though its been years .
