We had a planned six hour power cut this week. I think I would be ok without the electric although I would miss the kettle more than anything. My husband couldn’t cope without watching the telly though so we went round his mums!

We have planned works in the street starting 18th October for 8 weeks. Apparently they need to replace the metal pipes including the ones that go from outside into the property and the gas supply will need to be disconnected from time to time. This shall be fun.

I’d definitely miss the bottom step on the stairs! ?
and the tv ?“This is my simple religion. No need for temples. No need for complicated philosophy. Your own mind, your own heart is the temple. Your philosophy is simple kindness.”

Internet, TV, kettle. I've bought a torch, incase.

I'm still trying to work out how I hold a candle when I'm on crutches.

That’s actually a really good suggestion, I’m going to buy one for myself too.
-
You can also buy glasses with torches on, I had a pair once. ?

I would not miss anything.
It'd take me back to my early childhood in the seventies.
The good ole days.
Just go to bed under the duvet. -
