Hi guys
Needing some advice I am currently going through a limited capability component assessment It haven't been accepted at the moment I am going through the appeal stage to tribunal.
I have had a date come through to have my operation and its in a weeks time the recovery time on this is between 6 to 8 months I haven't updated my journal at the moment to inform them of this I am not sure if it will affect my appeal process and set it back months as this has been going on for over a year and a half. Or it will help my appeal just needs some advice on what it will do to my appeal and what I should do thanks

Any worsening of condition since the original assessment took place will not be taken into consideration. They will only look at how your condition was at the time the assessment took place.

Hi poppy
Thanks for that Information -
Hi @C984 I hope your operation goes well. Good luck.

The only considerations here are to let HMCTS know so they can switch comms to email rather than letter (for when you’re in hospital) and can avoid those dates for listing also.If your op positively impacts your ability to perform descriptors reliably then it will clearly impact potentially award length and amount.
