How do people cope with the day to day things when living with spinal stenosis?

Hello, this will be my first post on this site. I have lived with this spinal stenosis for 10 years and thought it couldn't get any worse. You know whats coming next don't you, it did, a lot worse. The last 3 months have been horrendous, the dreaded pseudo claudication. Losing the ability to stand, even for 2 minutes is so restrictive, how do people cope with the day to day things? Things we take for granted, little things like making a coffe, or, god forbid, preparing a meal.

Hello @YorksLad - welcome to the community & thank you for telling us a little about yourself. I'm sorry to read things have got worse for yourself in the past few months, & wonder if you have thought about seeking help. A needs assessment may prove helpful, & you can apply yourself. Welcome to the community @YorksLad! Are you based in Yorkshire? I'm over in Leeds
I'm also sorry to hear that your condition has worsened recently. It sounds as though things are pretty tough at the moment. I'd echo chiarieds' advice to look into a social care referral if you feel able. This could help you to access some support with day to day tasks.
Do you have a good support network of family or friends around you that could help out if needed?
Is your doctor aware of how things have progressed in the past few months?
