How do people cope with the day to day things when living with spinal stenosis?

Hello, this will be my first post on this site. I have lived with this spinal stenosis for 10 years and thought it couldn't get any worse. You know whats coming next don't you, it did, a lot worse. The last 3 months have been horrendous, the dreaded pseudo claudication. Losing the ability to stand, even for 2 minutes is so restrictive, how do people cope with the day to day things? Things we take for granted, little things like making a coffe, or, god forbid, preparing a meal.

I'm also sorry to hear that your condition has worsened recently. It sounds as though things are pretty tough at the moment. I'd echo chiarieds' advice to look into a social care referral if you feel able. This could help you to access some support with day to day tasks.

Do you have a good support network of family or friends around you that could help out if needed?

Is your doctor aware of how things have progressed in the past few months?
