I received a 3 year award. Do they really ask for an update after 1 year?

Hi I’ve had my assessment in august 2021 on the phone and I received a letter that I’m getting the enhanced PIP. I was told by the assessor that I may get a call or a form in 1 year again around August 2022 to see if my circumstances have changed. Do they really ask us to update them the next year despite me being rewarded for 3 years? I mean is this common for people with the enhanced or was she just saying this? Anybody got experience? Thank you

Hi and welcome to the community
You will get review forms approx 6 months prior to your current award end date
Reviews happen for everyone regardless of whether you are on enhanced or not in order for your award to be reviewed
You will get review form to complete and you should treat this as a new claim and you will then have another assessment1 -
They usually contact you about 6 months before the end date.0

The assessor doesn't make decisions.nowornever said:I was told by the assessor that I may get a call or a form in 1 year again around August 2022 to see if my circumstances have changed.

Yes I know they contact shortly before the award runs out but do they also contact you every year anyways to ask for an update? Thank you0

No, it depends on the length of your award.

I think it would be helpful if you could join the 2 threads together @Libby_Scope please because it really does get very confusing when there's 2 threads the same from the same person.

As advised you are likely to be contacted about 6 months before the end and not before (although you will receive annual letters about how much you will be paid).nowornever said:The length of my award is 3 years0
