Hello everyone. I just wanted to share that I applied for PiP for the first time and was awarded enhanced for both. I have been given it until 2025 with a review in 2024.
My condition is still not fully determined.. as more tests needed but I can no longer walk properly or take care of myself. I’m housebound and rely on my partner to assist me. Speech problem, Fatigue, migraine add to the disability and loss of balance and foot drop etc.. my brain is dysfunctional(stroke originally suspected)
Nevertheless I decided to share a positive outcome as it is a very daunting experience..
Application possibly sent 5th of October( award starts then. I could not phone and did it letter based then had a passport request.
Receive forms but only 2 weeks to fill in.. another letter extended this unto middle of November. I would of missed the deadline due to losing my Mum in October. Yet I never requested any extra time. Not sure if the passport check caused error.
Around November 9th 2021 forms sent
January 2022 letter arrives: Assessment for February 2nd.
With support managed to get through phone assessment and must say the Assessor was very patient and helpful. My speech isn’t great but we got there. I was lying in bed in pain.. so the phone assessment turned out to be perfect despite my speech.

I know not all are successful and only share to help others know they can be.
I wish you all the best.
