Hi,
Assessment reports aren’t always returned straight away. Sometimes they are chosen for audit. It’s nothing for you to worry about, it just means they are checking the assessor did their job properly. If this is what’s happened it can delay the decision making process because a decision can’t be made until the report has been returned. There’s no timescales how long it will be in audit.
Once it’s returned a decision can take between 2-12 weeks.0 -
Hello @elmas85 thanks for reaching out this morning. Are you back at home now? How are you doing?
I know it can be difficult, but try not to worry. You've done the hard part with the assessment, and I'm glad to hear the lady who called you checked in with you later, that was very kind and reassuring of her.
I hope Poppy's reply has helped reassure you too. At this point you've done everything you need to, so try to focus on other things while you wait to hear more from the DWP.
You're welcome to have a look around the forum, and chat to our members in the Coffee Lounge, where you can also play games. Whatever helps pass the time
The community can support you if you need a hand with anything in the meantime, so let us know how you get on.

hi, i have one more question, if i call them today and ask, will it be a problem or will it affect my claim? And also she asked me about my hospital discharge letter I didnt get it when I was in hospital but I asked my GP to print out for me the last 2 of my hospital discharge letters should I send them or just wait for them0
-
Ringing them won't affect your claim. If the letters are relevant and state exactly how your conditions affect you then there's no harm in sending them.

First of all thank you for your reply i appreciate that and As far as I have read here most people say that dwp send messages to them and forward them that they have their assessment papers Should I wait or call today I've already called Monday and nothing there yet0

Assessment reports aren't always returned straight away. Some are sent to audit which can delay it being returned to DWP. If this has happened, it's nothing to worry about, it's just them checking the assessment provider did their job correctly.

Before doing anything else you should get some expert advice from an agency near you. https://advicelocal.uk/ You will be able to explain the them exactly how your conditions affect you and they will tell you if it's possible to score more points for a higher award.

Just as an aside - needing to sit on the bed in order to dress is considered reasonable and practical and will, of itself, not score points.0
