That does seem an extremely long time to wait for a decision. There's no timescales for a decision really but 11 months is ridiculous. Put a note on your journal and tell them that you rang the health assessment providers and you were told the report was returned on X date and could then chase this up for you please.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Are you sure the report was returned almost a year ago? Did you have a work capability assessment?

May be time to involve your MP's office.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

I was originally told it could take up to 3 YEARS for an assesment! Admittedly it was because I needed to be assessed by a neurological specialist (which never hapened) but in the end, it was my work coach that got mine sped up for me. I don't know your circumstances but at the time I was living off basic UC only with no hope of returning to work & when I made my work coach aware of the financial difficulties I was in she made some calls & made it happen for me. Worth a try maybe?

You should get a letter (postal) explaining the back pay. Mine came after I had received payment in my account. As with all things DWP it's complicated & expalins how they calculated it with xx + yy & how they are taking xx from you leaving you with total confusion  :# Seriously though, it is not always easy to understand & I had to ring DWP for them to explain it, luckily I got a really nice guy who took the time to go through it with me. As long as it has taken, at least you got the result you needed.

That's not correct when claiming UC because it's a digital claim, unlike PIP.

When it's paid from will depend on the exact date you reported your health condition and the date you usually receive your normal payment each month. This is because there's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month.
Any money owed is usually paid separate to your usually monthly amount. First they need to recalculate your past statements so they can work out exactly what they owe you. Once this is done you'll receive a letter uploaded onto your journal and it will tell you how much they owe. It will then be paid into your bank. Very often it takes a few weeks for this to happen.

You won't get anything in post for this everything relating to uc will be uploaded on your journal

It takes a while to get ant back pay for lcwra but you should get first payment in your next uc payment bit back pay will be seperate

Keep an eye on your old statements as once they have recalculated them they will change to show the lcwra element

I would wait couple of weeks or put note in your journal flag it as payment query

Explain when you first reported condition and 0r9vuded fit note and that you should be backdated

That is very interesting @poppy123456 Especially seeing as I have a letter upstairs in a file from UC explaining the payout & award. I was specifically told that I would not need to use my journal anymore.

If a claim for UC is made online, access will be through your journal so no actual letters will be sent through the post.

Well, my claim was made online & up until I was signed off onto LCWRA group all my correspondence was online. After that I was sent a letter. I have it in a file upstairs. Obviously I do not intend to post a copy for confidentiality reasons. Believe it or not, it does exist.
