Hi @jsteward201 have you looked into what other benefits you may be entitled to. Try a benefit checker to give you a rough idea.

Have you got close family or suport, have you discussed with your gp how you are feeling mentally?
Are there food banks near by you can use? Sorry for all the questions. Hopefully your pip won't take too much longer

Are you saying its a year that you’ve been waiting for your PIP Tribunal or a year since you applied for PIP?
If your ESA is Income Related the you’ll receive the £650 cost of living payment. The first payment of £326 will be paid in July. The 2nd payment of £324 will be paid in the Autumn but the date hasn’t yet been confirmed.
Other than Council tax reduction it seems like you’re claiming all the benefits you’re entitled to at the moment.

    Hello @jsteward201

Thank you for making this post, sorry to hear you are finding things quite hard at the moment. I hope you've found the replies from other members helpful.

If you’re struggling with your mental health and feel like you need some emotional support, you can text SHOUT to 85258 or you could call Samaritans on 116 123 anytime.

If you’re already in contact with mental health services, please consider getting in touch with them to talk about how you feel. If you’re not yet in contact with mental health services or feel as though you need some different support, you can get in touch with your GP to discuss how they could support you.

Is your partner aware of how you feel at the moment? You mentioned that they have helped you, which is good, hopefully you can both continue to support each other through this tough time :)

There's always help for everyone, you have an understanding partner who is there for you. Discuss your health issues with your doctor too, take your partner with you. Talk to people here at Scope, I'm sure they will listen to you and point you in the right direction.

    Hi @jsteward201
There are more forms of help you could be entitled to. If you are struggling for food or with bills etc there is a scheme called the Household Support Fund which the government has just announced a new batch of funding for. I know someone in a similar situation and their local authority gave them a £100 Tesco voucher and £100 to put towards energy costs, this scheme is discretionary so what you potentially could get may differ.
As you get housing benefit, you potentially may be entitled to a Discretionary Housing Payment. Please do look in to these schemes.

I hope your PIP Tribunal goes your way. Good Luck.
