Good morning all, hope everyone is doing well.
I just wanted ask i send my how your disability affects u form off on Friday morning and yesterday afternoon i got a text message saying they have received the form. But this morning got another text from the assessment centre saying they got my form and will be dealing with my assessment. So what happens now and how long will i have to wait for the assessment.

Most people have assessments either by telephone, face to face or video call so you should expect one of those. Backlogs are quite long in a lot of areas so you could be waiting several months.Once an appointment becomes available you will be contacted with a date and time.0

Ok,thanks i didn't know that they send texts from the assessment people to say they have received the pip for that's what confused me0
-
The assessment providers do sometimes send texts.0
-
Oh ok, cause when i applied the first tim in 2020 i did not receive any text from them at all0
-
They have started sending more texts with updates. You’ve only just returned the form so you could be waiting quite a while yet. Please try to focus on something else in the meantime.0

Oh ok no wonder. Yea i am i have been through all this before as i am still waiting for a hearing date for a appeal that was adjourned for my my previous application.0
-
Did you get some expert advice before applying again? Any new decision made on this claim will overrule the Tribunal decision. It can also affect the amount of money owed to you if the Tribunal goes in your favour.0
-
Well it was the appeal panel that told me to re apply just incase and i got citizens advice bureau to help me with this new application.0

Are Citizens Advice supporting you with your appeal too @1977young? Or do you have another representative?
Waiting times can vary, which I appreciate doesn't help with the stress! Please do keep us updated on your situation.

Unfortunately no they are not and i don't have any representative and i done that first application by myself.
Yes i know it is all too much0 -
It does sound hefty and a little too much @1977young. Do you have anyone who could support you with accessing a representative or other forms of support? We are here to help, even if that's just a listening ear
