Hi guys so basically I just made a call to Pip to update my contact No for my telephone assessment next week, and then the laidy asked to confirm my details She then asked for my sort code and acc no.. then she said that she was going to rebook my assessment because they have not received my “how your disability effects you form” but she then made out that it’s obligated for the assessment and three said that I can go ahead and have the assessment without sending back the forms when I said won’t the forms help my claim she turned round and said ohh sorry yes and completly contradicted what she had just said which was in other words that the Disability Form is not that important… I’m not sure if she was trying to set me up or if she was suggesting that they already have enough evidence to an extent where the forms are not necessary win the award. does anybody have an idea of what or where my claim is at in terms of winning my award. Also just to give some background info on my case, I applied for PIP mid May but got a letter from DWP 14th July from the health Assessment advisory service for a LWRCA Assesment which I’m stil confused about as I applied for Pip the Lwrca Assessment was 28th July but called the day before 27th to rearrange due to unavailability, They told me they would rebook and send me a letter in the next 2 weeks to confirm a new Apt but hadn’t, it’s now the 17 Aug and I got a letter in the post on the 10th for an actual PIP Assesment taking place on the 24th, does anybody know why I had a LWRCA booked in before my PIP Assessment ? With that being said I just phoned up WCA to ask them if they have a date for the Lwrca Assesment and they told me no but can book me in on the 15th September, so this means I will have a PIP Telephone Assesment 24th Aug followed by a LCWRA assessment 15 Sep so that said what will happen next..Will I be back payed and if so how much? I’ve given fit notes since jan 12 (my Assesment period) was 27 Dec - 26 Jan but was never given any type of Assesment untill I made claim for pip. Pretty sure job coach was supposed to set this up for me after 3 months of continuous fit notes.. What will I get back pay for pip and what will I get for lcwra if awarded both can somebody help,
ps sorry for the paragraphs

The WCA for LCWRA and the PIP assessment are completely separate because they are different benefits.Struggles_R said:.. does anybody know why I had a LWRCA booked in before my PIP Assessment ? ...
For PIP any award will apply from the date you rang to start your PIP claim.Struggles_R said: Will I be back payed and if so how much? I’ve given fit notes since jan 12 (my Assesment period) was 27 Dec - 26 Jan but was never given any type of Assesment untill I made claim for pip.
For any LCWRA award that should payable for the fourth full UC period after you first reported your health condition supported by Fit Notes. If you reported in December to January then the LCWRA element would be payable for the April to May period.0 -
@calcotti Ok yeah that make sence just wanted some clarification. On the other hand im stil not sure why the woman from pip told me today that they do not need the “how your disability” form .. is there something behind this? I sent it with sick notes a while back, 1st class as I only had 7 days to return the form..0

And I forgot to ask how long after the assesment will it take for a decision and because the pip assesment before the lcwra will I need to have a second assesment if win the pip award0

Yeah this makes sence, Is that the case for both PIP and LWCA, like will it take just 2-12 weeks for both rescissions as they are both two “completely different”types of Benifit and will people who receive these benifits need to attend the jobcentre at all after award!?0
-
PIP has nothing to do with attending any job centre. If you're found to have LCWRA then you won't need to attend any appointments or look for any work. If found to have LCW you may need to attend appointments but won't be expected to look for work.

What really so if I’m awarded the lcwra I’ll not need to attend that’s awesome. How much is the Lcwra element, will there be a standard and enhanced rate and how does it appear on uc0
-
The LCWRA element is worth £354.28/month. It just appears as an extra amount included in the calculation of your maximum UC amount.Struggles_R said:How much is the Lcwra element, will there be a standard and enhanced rate and how does it appear on uc0 -
Is that £354.28 on top the current £265 or topped up toThe LCWRA element is worth £354.28/month. It just appears as an extra amount included in the calculation of your maximum UC amount.0 -
It’s extra as stated in my previous reply.Struggles_R said:

Those rates apply to PIP, not UC. If awarded PIP it's in addition to your UC payment. PIP will not affect your UC in a bad way.Struggles_R said:will there be a standard and enhanced rate and how does it appear on uc

@poppy123456, thanks for the advice really appreciate it, I’ve been battling mental health since 2018 but never had the courage to take steps towards making a claimIm sorry to keep in but I’ve just realised that the people who I sent my Pip1 and Pip2 forms have just sent this text.“ We've sent you another 'How your disability affects you' form. You'll get it in 7-10 days. Please fill it in carefully and return it by the date we asked so we can decide if you can get PIP. Thank you.”I have already filled and sent this form back at the end of June early July as I had around 7 days left to complete. What does this mean? I spoke to somebody the other day and they told me that it may not have been received yet as it hadn’t been scanned or something but I’m not sure how this is possible if I sent it already0

The text could have been sent in error.0

Keep an eye on things if you can @Struggles_R and give them a call after the weekend if things still aren't clear for you.
Is there anything we can help with in the meantime?

Thank you for the supporting message. I will give them a ring on Monday to be sure. I do wonder in regard to pip assesment sin general if it is common for the agency’s that conduct these assessments have control over the claim as in if the havecertian documents or have strong indications based on there own readearch made certain phone calls or aquire relevant information registering the claimant from other professionals before the assesment is carried out, only reason being if this is the case it would save me from going into a lot of sensitive area’s that may already have been coveredAlex_Scope said:Keep an eye on things if you can @Struggles_R and give them a call after the weekend if things still aren't clear for you.

They very rarely contact anyone for any evidence. The onus is on you to prove you qualify, not theirs. The also applies for the work capability assessment.
