You will eventually be contacted by DWP to ask some standard questions of whether you've had been in hospital or prison. After that they will pay you what they owe you and put your award into payment. It can take between 2-8 weeks, sometimes longer for this to happen.

Welcome to the community @Rue601
I'm glad that you stumbled across us!
Well done on winning your tribunal. How did you find the process?2 -
-
It sounds like you had a reasonably positive experience then @rue601, which is good
We often hear that people don't necessarily find the tribunal as scary or intimidating as they thought they would.
What one piece of advice would you give to someone going through the same situation as you?
I hope it's not too long until you get your payments!2 -
@Tori_Scope
I would advice staying calm, make sure all important is paperwork at hand. Write everything you want to say and answer all the questions clearly.1 -
That's sound advice @Rue601
I'm sure others will find it helpful to learn from your experience! 2 -
Thank you all for your help, DWP phoned this morning and should be getting my back payment within 7 days from today1

That's good to hear @Rue601 it must be quite a relief?

@L_Volunteer 😁
I can see you're an advisor for EHCP, am looking for help filling in my sons as I have to do it myself. School refused but my Early Help caseworker said I should do it anyway2 -
I am indeed @Rue601. Thanks for tagging me in this post.
Sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties with this at the moment. I can hear your frustration.
If the school refused, you can contact your local authority to request an EHCP assessment!
Is there anything, in particular, that you are struggling to fill in at the moment? It is really important to me that I hear your situation as accurately as possible.
I hope this helps. If we can do anything else to help, please don't hesitate to let us know. We are all here for you
