I’ve claimed for backdating on carers element when first appealed they allowed us 1 month but now they have realised I get pip they are backdating from the start of my pip, but in the year I can claim back me and my partner split up I’ve worked out they are giving us something but not sure what amount and when for. Im not well so please bare with me im not very good at explaining things as I suffer with brain fog0

The decision letter will tell you when it's paid from and the amount they are paying you. It will also tell you how much you did receive during those months and how much you should have received. The difference between the 2 will be what is owed to you. This amount will be paid into your bank. You can post a picture of the letter but you need to make sure that all your personal details, such as name, NI number etc etc are not visable.0

It means they are paying you from 3rd Dec 2020 to 2nd July 2021. They are not paying you from the time you split up in July 2021 to Jan 2022. It then starts again from 3rd Jan 2022 and continues going forward. Now you need to wait for a letter telling you how much they owe you, if you haven't already received that.0
