hello all new member here. i sent my child’s DLA forms back on friday. a lot of evidence included fromeducational psychologist and head teacher and doctors and therapists. sent it special delivery to the dla handling site . the item was signed for by a royal mail worker at 3am last night at wolverhampton mail centre

You haven’t made any mistakes. All DWP mail gets sent to a mail handling centre where it’ll then be scanned on to a computer system, this is standard practise. As it was only delivered on Friday it’ll take a few days for it to be scanned fully on to the system1

All post going to DWP goes to a Royal Mail sorting office first.Its never signed for by anyone from DWP ( I hope you didn’t think this) it’s always someone from Royal Mail.It’s not classed as arriving at DWP until it’s been added to the computer, which can take a few weeks.This is why sending anything to them by signed for delivery is just a waster of money. Proof of posting, which is free is all that’s needed.1
