LCWRA backdate

in Universal Credit (UC)
Hiya, I have just been awarded LCWRA on the 6th September 2022.

The date of my first medical evidence is the 28th February 2022

i received a payment for September but am obviously due some backdated payment, would anyone be able to help me work it out as they have informed me of a figure but it does not seem correct.

    The LCWRA element should, if you reported in February, be from May or June but appears what dates in the month your UC payments cover as well as the rate on which you reported your health condition.

    The arrears may not simply be a multiple of the LCWRA element because the decision may also affect other aspects of your entitlement (if for example if you had any earnings or were receiving the carer element).

    It says for my most recent pay (2nd October) which was my first payment for LCWRA

    Assessment period: 24 August to 23 September 2022

    I also have no earnings or any carer element so I don’t see any reason there should be any deducted. I was awarded the full amount of LCWRA.

    Your payment date doesn't reflect your assessment periods. If your assessment periods are 24th to 23rd of each month then your payment date should be 30th of every month, not 2nd of the month.
    As your first fit note was sent after the start of the Feb assessment period then this month doesn't count. Therefore your waiting period will be March/April, April/May, May/June... LCWRA starts from AP 24th June to 23rd July, first payment 30th July.
