Hi, my name is M_10666! PIP help living in Belfast

I originally applied for PIP mid June.  I had the telephone assessment Sept 16 and received text 3 Oct stating that DfC had received my report. I reside in Belfast. As a guide they say it could take up to eight weeks to get back to me. My question is: does anybody else live in Belfast and are the timescales a true reflection of the process?

    The timescales are only ever a guide and nothing more. Once a decision is made you will receive the decision letter. DWP have started sending texts if successfully awarded. I don't know if DFC do the same.

    Hi poppy123456.  Thanks for your comment.  I received a text from DfC with regards to my assessment report reaching them, so I suppose I will just have to be patient now. Thanks again

    Hi Tori_Scope. I have tried to not claim PIP but my circumstances are getting worse as I get older. I'm now 56!  I didn't sleep well leading up to the assessment but if I am honest I thought the assessor was helpful. She didn't rush me, allowed me time to gather my thoughts etc.  I feel I was treated with respect, but I suppose the real answer will come with the decision that is made.  I was anxious prior to the assessment.
