Hi! I didn't return my PIP review form in time as I'm an in-patient, what will happen?

I'm in a mental hopital since 31/8/22 told pip last week as expected suspended until discharge just found out on 2/9/22 they sent me a review form to return by 02/10/22 obviously didn't return because didn't know i had received it when I spoke to pip twice last week they never mentioned review form just said my claim expires next August but suspended until discharge but seeing as I unknowing haven't returned review form by deadline will my claim be stopped completely thanks for any much needed advice

My understanding is that you can contact the PIP helpline to ask for an extension to your review deadline given you have an acceptable reason. The sooner you do this, the better so I'd recommend giving them a call on the following contact details to explain your situation:Personal Independence Payment (PIP)Please let us know how you get on.
