Pip decision. It's gone to someone higher as they needed advice on the claim. What does this mean?

Good morning , I made a claim for pip ages ago and had my phone assessment on the 21st of August . I called today and was told that the decision makers r struggling to make a decision and it’s gone to someone higher as they needed advice on the claim , what does this mean?

It means what they say and you have not been waiting that long too. Sometimes if there’s some inaccuracies on a report they will return it and seek further advice which may have happened in your case. This is usually positive so please do not worry, you should expect a decision to be made within 12 weeks.

Yes this is exactly what they have told me . How does it make it positive ? I’ve just been worrying a lot . What is the inaccuracies to do with ?

If a report is returned to the health assessment providers, it doesn't mean anything other than this. It's not positive or negative at this stage. I've heard of people having a good outcome and a negative outcome when the report is returned.
The inaccurancies could be the assessor saying one thing and your evidence says something completely different but we can only guess what they would be.
I do agree that it hasn't been long since you had your assessment, decisions can take up to 12 weeks, sometimes longer once the report is returned to DWP. If it's sent back to the health assessment then it can delay the decision making process.
