So I’ll start with my past situation and current.
when my appointee first claimed pip for me she had it set up in her bank account a few months down the line I wanted to have it sent into my freshly opened first bank account and after some months and hard pleading she did. At that point in time i was living at home with her but currently I have moved away and am living with my girlfriend.
Now I’ve asked her multiple times that I need to do a change of address even before I had moved out but even yet she still hasn’t bothered and now my relationship with my apointee has dwindled into not much of one at all. I also have an esa claim which goes into her bank.
I have never seen one document regarding any claim about me she has just told me that it’s done and that it will be in the bank here and then and I’ve just gone along with it.
now I’m at a point in my life where I have to have some type of steady income and without work I want to at least be in control of my own claims so I know what’s going on.
please could I have some information it help regarding the topic.

You can remove an appointee from your claim by contacting DWP. There’s some information here https://www.scope.org.uk/advice-and-support/removing-an-appointee/1

Hi @kbastow24
Welcome to the community!
I'm concerned to read that your appointee is doing this. I can see that poppy123456 has already pointed you towards our page on removing an appointee, which I hope you find helpful to read.
Asides from benefits, would you say you're independent from her now?1 -
Firstly thanks for the replies and information friends.
I have couple questions regarding contacting the dwp.Do you think in any case it could affect my claim as I don’t want to end up having to do the whole application process again.
Also I have trouble speaking on the phone could I have someone help me call? Are the dwp understandable in these types of situations?0 -
Having the appointee removed will not affect your benefits. You can have someone ring PIP for you but you will need to go through security first and then pass the phone onto them.1

@poppy123456 thank you so much I’ll give it a go then!0

Good luck @kbastow24. How are you feeling about the idea of giving it a go?
Please feel free to let us know how it goes and if you need any support in the meantime. We are all here for you and listening to you
