Hi all
I got a blister on my foot on holiday that burst . I noticed this morning it was wet and smells so has turned into infected ulcer. I have no feeling in my foot didn't even know I had it till there was blood all over and bf noticed it
This is how I lost my other leg through infected foot ulcers which went into bone so obvious I am concerned
Will be getting in touch with gp tomorrow .
Pic below for those not squeamish

Sorry to hear that @janer1967. I can definitely understand you being nervous. I hope the GP gets to work quickly and gets to the bottom of it. Keep us updated.0

Sorry to hear this. If you're concerned i wouldn't wait until tomorrow when your GP surgery is open, i would ring 111 today. https://111.nhs.uk

That does look nasty.
Is there any way you can get it looked at today?0 -
Not really I have no means of getting anywhere other than a taxi and don't think a&e would be impressed if I turned up there and nobody to go with me they would only give me antibiotics anyway
Gp is only up the road so toby can take me or they will send district nurse out
I have put some antiseptic cream on and a dressing

Oh so sorry this has happened to you and it’s understandable you are worried.
Do you think you should maybe goto A&E just to even put your mind at rest.
I. hope you can get seen soon..
Good luck and take care ❤️0 -

Oh no @janer1967! I hope you manage to get something for it tomorrow. Could it be worth visiting your local pharmacy today to get it checked out?
I've added a 'spoiler' to your image, so that it doesn't show up straight away. People can click the 'spoiler' button to view the picture if they're happy to see it

Hi Janer 1967
could you ring the doctors out of hours service there must be a doctor on call tell the your circumstances or even the ambulance service is worth a try for your own peace of mind tell who ever you speak to you are frightened and that you are on your own if you are by yourself take care. Margaret0 -
Hi Janer 1967
Have you tried NHS 111 at least it would get the situation sorted sooner rather than later. Tell the person on the phone you are frightened and on your own Margaret0 -
Get well soon, let’s hope the doctors manage to treat you quickly. All the best.0

Hi everyone I'm OK
Out of hours doesn't really exist anymore they just tell you to go to a&e
I've redressed and cleaned it and looks bit better all the black dead skin has come off
I will be straight on the case in tye morning when gp opens
It's really hard when I can't get out on my own to get anywhere for medical attention gone are the days of gp home visits out of hours I'm afraid1 -
good night Janer 1967 Margaret
