Medication dosage increase and medication prescribed for a condition outside of claim

Hi, all.

I am currently in receipt of ESA (support group) and PIP.

In the time that I have been in receipt of benefits, my medication, Aripiprazole and Clomipramine, dosage has increased.

Also, to help with my cholesterol, I have within the last 3 months been prescribed Atorvastatin.

Having recently received a PIP reassessment form, I am beginning to wonder and becoming concerned whether I should have contacted DWP regarding increases in medication dosage and new medications.

Although, I have read some of the posts on here which say medication changes are not classed as change in circumstances.

Can anyone clarify?

Kind regards,

Shaun

Changes in your medication do not need to be reported. PIP and ESA are assessed on the difficulties you experience doing the activities they look at. Changes in diagnosis or medication are not relevant. It is only changes in your abilities/difficulties that are relevent and even then only the change is such that it would affect your entitlement.
