Okay so I applied for pip last year on the 16th June got turned down due to 2 point cos I forgot my hearing aids cos I have memory issues... asked for reconsideration turned down again asked for appeal turned down again went to tribunal had my tribunal yesterday the judge doc and disability person were honestly amazing through it and even through my anxiety attack to which I had to take a 5 min break to calm myself abit.. this was all done over the phone well it was extreamly good news for me as I won full enhanced and honestly I would have been happy with just standard but I'm a fall risk and at risk of randomly popping joints out of places constantly 🤣🤣 I was just wondering how long some people have waited for their back pay I know it can take up to 4-6 weeks but just wanted other people's experience if they have been through it themselves ❤️❤️❤️😍❤️

Great news. It’s up to 8 weeks for any money owed to be paid and about the same time for your award to be put into payment.
Some wait a couple of weeks so wait several.0 -
Hello @nettyn0031
Well done on persevering and I'm so glad you came back to tell us about this successful outcome. What a relief. I hope the extra money helps make life that bit easier for you

I started my claim in July last year, had my tribunal on 9th May and was told on 10th May that I’d won.I got a phone call from PIP on Monday 29th May to be told I’d been awarded it and asked a few security questions. They said my back pay would be in my account within 3- 5 working days, I received a text message on Tuesday to say the same and that my letter would arrive within two weeks.
I’ve still had nothing, no pay back no letter.3 -
May the 29th, as in the beginning Of this week?0

Congrats on persevering and getting a good outcome! I also applied in July last year and got turned down! Did my MR and got turned down again in January. Still awaiting a tribunal date! Can I ask what extra information you provided at your hearing? Many thanks0

I feel your pain - been recovering from stroke since last January, started a claim in 19 April '22. This April had tribunal and was awarded what will be a great help..Graceylacey said:I started my claim in July last year, had my tribunal on 9th May and was told on 10th May that I’d won.I got a phone call from PIP on Monday 29th May to be told I’d been awarded it and asked a few security questions. 6+ weeks later still nothing, I did ring Thursday asking for update, was told if there no letter within a fortnight to ring back.
Understandably quite frustrating when one guy on a pip phonecall is telling me exactly how much ill be getting, and asking the bank questions etc... Then 2 weeks later - nothing
I take pride in being a patient guy, but my stroke occured 15 months ago, 🤷♂️0 -
Hi honestly I didnt send any other information in I had my mother her husband and my husband with me it was all done over the phone they asked me about how my condition affected me and how many falls and dislocations I have and then that was pretty much it apart from the anxiety attack half way through .. the judge was lovely and gave me a break to calm down and collect myself then asked some more questions all in all it took about an hour and a half to go through everything... but honestly whatever you have sent already should be enough xxxFloydiee1995 said:Congrats on persevering and getting a good outcome! Yes this Monday, I was told last Monday back pay would be 3-5 working days and it was on the 5th working day! So for me it’s taken almost 4 weeks from the date of my tribunal.nettyn0031 said:
