UC50 re-assessment — just been told I don’t need an assessment & they have enough evidence.

So, like everyone else on LCWRA who’s recently been contacted for a re-assessment I have been super stressed about it all.  I noticed that a few of you on here have recently received appointments for your WCA assessment, so I started to worry that maybe they’ve sent me an appointment letter through and it’s not arrived.  So I called them this morning to ask if an assessment appointment has been scheduled.  They’ve told me: “You don’t need an assessment.  We had enough medical evidence.  Your benefit will continue and we sent your file back.”

I asked again for further clarification and they said, “You definitely don’t need an assessment at all because we have enough evidence. You’ve nothing to worry about.”

So, a paper-based assessment then?

The evidence I sent in included my Social Services Care Plan proving that I have to have a full-time Carer to take care of my daily care needs, recent assessments and clinical letters from the Mental Health Team just describing how my conditions affect me, what medication I’m on, the difficulties I face etc, all my prescription medications, a letter from a neighbour who provides additional support to me, a letter from my GP basically saying he’s signed me off as unwell indefinitely and that I’m under the care of the Mental Health Team.  My UC50 was also very detailed with plenty of examples of how my conditions affect me.
