College Travel Bursary Award

Been awarded a travel bursary from my local college suppose to be starting in September. 

The college bursary money does not go to me directly. 

The college apply for a travel pass on your behalf so all I will be getting is travel pass to use the train to get to college. 

Do I need to inform UC? 
I’m not receiving any money from college or any other loans are not available because this course is not a higher education course. It’s a retake for my maths and English gcse pre access course. 

(We are pleased to inform you that your bursary application has been successful and in accordance with government and college guidelines you have been awarded a Travel Bursary of £1546. The details of the award are as follows:

We will purchase a travel pass on your behalf for the journey you detailed on your bursary application form or the most cost-effective method of travel.)

    No, you do not need to inform UC.

    Hi thanks for confirming are you sure i don’t need to inform UC? 

    I suppose because this is not money paid to me it’s paid directly to travel company. 

    I just don’t want to get in trouble later down the line thank you

    You’re doing nothing wrong, the pass will be bought on your behalf. You don’t need to report to UC and won’t get in any trouble either.
