Would anyone have an understanding of SDS? I asked my council for funding to pay for my son's ski lessons. To my mind, it doesn't sound as daft as it may initially appear. He benefits from proprioceptive feedback ( he knows where his body is when wearing 4 layers, a pair of ski boots, a helmet and a set of skis). He has to focus on verbal and physical instruction, he learns turn-taking whilst waiting for tow rope - and ultimately he participates within a public environment as an individual and not as someone with ASN. So, SDS has been refused as I already take him and therefore fulfil that need. I am currently reading through an enormous document, trying to spot where it says " you can't apply for stuff you already pay for". Anyone know if such a caveat exists? Back to that doc in the meantime....
