Heya @dude007 and welcome to the community! How're you today?
I believe you'll start getting paid the LCWRA component from the 4th month after you reported the condition, as long as you've kept up with fit notes.
If I'm wrong, I know one of our super smart regulars will chip in with more information.

@Albus_Scope is correct but to add a little more information. It's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time. It's the paid at the end of the 4th month. It's not paid at all during the waiting period.Your waiting period is as follows... July/Aug, Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct... LCWRA starts from assessment period 12th Oct to 11th November and first payment will be 18th Novemeber. No LCWRA element is owed.If you or a partner were receiving earnings since you reported your health condition and you didn't previously have the work allowance, then you'll be owed some money from that.1

Well quite frankly i think the whole process is absolutely ridiculous. , they award you help and yet you got to wait 4 months before you recieve any but yet only get paid for just one month after waiting 4 ? absolute disgrace, im unable to work due to possible heart failure and waiting month after month to see what cardiologist propose. ive only been recieving universal credit which most certainly is not enuf to live on. i can hardly even walk up the stairs of my house lets alone do a shop at the supermarket or hardly get out the house at all looking at 4 walls. Im now told im awarded LCWRA. though after 4 months im only recieving 1 month and even now i have to wait a month to recieve that. well im disgusted how we get treated. im in two minds to just go to work and have another heart attack because just when you think help is finally arriving your knocked back yet again. disgusted with it all, why did i pay my taxes my whole life just to be treated like some 2nd rate citizen. disgusting.0

UC is no different to what ESA is because there's also a waiting period for that too. Unfortunately, it's the law and it can't be changed. Ten years ago when i claimed ESA and was placed into the Support Group i also had to wait 14 weeks to receive anything extra. The waiting period applies to most people. The only time it doesn't apply is if you're claiming because of life expectancy is 12 months or less.0

im not just complaining for me its about all of us having to endure these hardships. i cant understand why there is a 3 month rest period that we dont get paid, 3 months is a very long time when your constantly strugging with getting by. its not fit for purpose.0
