Help, handcycle needed

Can anybody help me out or at least point me in the right direction.  I'm looking to beg, borrow or buy an adult handcycle to use over the summer.  Don't mind if it is even just a handcycle attachment for a rigid wheelchair. I'm desperate to be able to join my family for bike rides but have a very limited budget and all the options I've looked at need deep pockets.  Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Hi Milo, great idea to get a handcycle so that you can join the rest of your family on bike rides this summer. Funding is always an issue! Have you tried Turn2Us (https://www.turn2us.org.uk/) or Disability Grants (http://www.disability-grants.org), both of which help to identify organisations it may be worth approaching? Sometimes there are locally based charities that can be helpful with this sort of request (eg Lions, Roundtable etc) - you could contact the Scope Helpline on 0808 3333 3333 or email helpline@scope.org.uk and ask to be put in touch with a Regional Scope Information & Advice Worker who may be able to provide information on local resources.

There are a variety of organisations that offer recycled (sorry for the pun!!) equipment. I don't have direct experience of any of them, but a search on the net may give you a lead, for example:

Good luck - have a great summer!
