Hi @kirsty78
is this DLA (disability living allowance) you're talking about?
If so, sounds like you'll need to appeal the decision (you have one month to do this).
Get some help from a benefits advisor though, those forms are tricky things!
You have to be really clear about what extra help she needs (in comparison to a child of the same age without autism) so, although the specialist pushchair dilemma is obviously a big difficulty for you & family; it's not necessarily going to score any points.
Benefits advisors are really helpful with this stuff, they are able to talk with you about the different parts of your lives and filter to the things that need to go on the form.
Ask the Citizens' Advice Bureau (CAB) near you, or use the Scope service directory (select 'Information' from the 'service type' drop-down menu.
If it's not DLA - is it about getting re-housed with the council? In which case, CAB are probably the best place to get advice.

Hi I'm brand new and only just found this site but this was the first discussion that has come up on my feed and I'm going through the same thing as you.
daft question I know but have you included medical reports -OT's report, social worker and that type of thing?
also look at the children's with disabilities act and autism act of 2010 to support your housing situation. -
Thank you will do
