Hello everyone. We are a charity called City Disabilities. We support employees with disabilities in the workplace via a free mentoring scheme. We are currently conducting some research into the attitude of employers to disability, via a short survey. The survey is anonymous, consists of 17 multiple choice questions and takes about a minute to complete. If you have a disability or long term health condition, and are in work, we'd be grateful if you completed the survey. We'd be also grateful if you would consider sharing it with anyone you know that may have a disability or long term health condition, who is in work. We would like to collect as many responses as possible so we can get a clear idea of what current working conditions are like for people with disabilities. The link to the survey is here:

The last time i did work experience (some years) the fact that I a visually impaired and need specialist software on PCs. was viewed as being "too dependent on the basic function of a PC." I would have expected a company that was offering New Deal or other placements for disabled people would be forward thinking enough to have such software installed on their PCs. Anyhow these I'm not able to work and am in support group for ESA.

Sorry to hear that Magnify. We have several mentors and mentees who work regularly on PCs with a variety of issues relating to their sight. Do get in touch (our website is www.citydisabilities.org.uk) if you think we can help.
