Were there any gaps in her fit notes?
Was 2nd Dec the exact date she actually provided her first fit note and not the date on the fit note? If so her waiting period will be
Dec/Jan, Jan/Feb, Feb/March.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 3rd March to 2nd April and first payment will be 9th April.0 -
the 2nd of december was her first sick note handed in they are saying awarded on the 5th of march and when she wrote in journal to ask about payment they said first payment would be 9th may assuming that’s the full 4 months assessment periods then she went in to journal and someone has wrote awarded 5th march so it’s first full 3 assessments periods after that date
3/4-2/5 3/5-2/6 3/6 -2/7 then she will receive extra financial element in august uc award so from beginning to first payment it will be 9 months thanks for replying0 -
What they advised you is incorrect. The waiting period starts from when you provide your first fit note, not from when the decision was made. Please see the advice I gave above as that’s what her waiting period will be. She needs to put a message onto her journal under the payment section and remind them when she provided her first fit note. Also tell them that the waiting period starts from then and NOT when the decision was made. Up to now they owe her for last month and this month if it’s not included when she receives her statement.0
