Pip Application
Hi
I have applied for pip and had my telephone interview. This was followed two weeks later by a phone call asking for some clarity and a few further questions. I was informed that my application was then with the decision maker but 2 weeks later and I have heard nothing
I called a couple of days ago and was informed that there was no red flags on my application and no further information needed. I was informed that I should hear from them by text within 4 weeks of my interview date(which is next week)
Does this sound plausible and has anyone else had similar experience or could you please share your timeline for your recent application
Much appreciated
A x

Once the assessment report was returned a decision can take up to about 12 weeks. You will be contacted once it's made.

Thank you. I did think that but the guy the other day said it will be 4 weeks as it’s with the decision maker. Maybe I’m just being too hopeful !

Yes, your file is usually sent to a decision maker after the report is returned. It will be in a pile with thousands of others waiting for a decision.

@ah123 From when you sent in your application form how long did it take them to contact you about an assessment date?
I know this might not be too useful to know, but I would like to have a rough idea as to how long this will take.
it’s been two weeks since I returned my form.

hi it was around 4 weeks until I hit the date given which was 2 weeks after that then two weeks after interview I got the call from the decision maker asking for a few bits of clarity. Hope that helps 😊

Thank you for that info, I know I can’t really go off that for sure as no doubt it varies to some extent. But it’s nice just to have a rough idea.
I’m starting to freak out a bit. I have had two missed calls to my mobile in the last week but no number was displayed - so probably just scammers. I did make it clear on the form that I have difficulty with communicating so they should be aware not to try and call me.
I’m hoping this process won’t take much longer as I want to use the extra income for private treatment. There’s an NHS hospital report which I found out in the last year from my GP that this report does not match what the specialist told me at the time. I need to pay £2700 for this as I can’t have a repeat procedure as the old report says nothing was found, which wasn’t what was said to me at the time. And a recent hospital appointment I have been advised I need to pay for dental treatment and X-rays as I no longer have an NHS dentist.I’ve messed this all up really for myself as CAB suggested PIP over ten years ago, but I just found it all too stressful doing the ESA one, nevermind a second one. It would have been so much easier if they could merge both assessments together, at least then there would only be one highly stressful assessment to worry about.
My GP has said he will add my communication difficulties if they ask him for a report.

Sorry @ah123 I shouldn’t be adding my concerns into your thread, I meant to just say thanks for the info but I have gone on a bit too much there
