I have had industrial injuries disablement benefit stopped. I have appealed this decision and have a tribunal on 4th May 2017. Is there any support available for this or can anyone attend with me?

    Hi Silverplane,

    We can't offer any casework support or representation I'm afraid. You'd need to contact a local advice service such as Citizens Advice. You need someone who can look at the paperwork and find out the basis for the decision, which we can't do on the forum. The CAB can let you know if there is a more specialist service available locally, such as a law centre.

    I'm sorry but I don't really have any more useful information, as I don't know why your IIDB was stopped. You probably need to show the decision letter and the mandatory reconsideration notice to an adviser to get the help you need.

    @Silverplane

    Beware!  Our CAB has a directorship of establishment yes men.  One of whom is the Masonic Provincial Lodge Secretary.

    I think that the establishment has its servants hidden in places that we least expect to find them these days.  The working man has little or no rights...  Even less than he is even aware of!

    Some unscrupulous people have access to detailed information that is pertinent to very serious matters that they are quite happy to share with other parties that have a vested interest in the same matter.  So take care whilst discussing your case with people that you dont know are totally trustworthy.

    Be careful, who you speak to until you are certain that they are totally reliable.  Even then consider how the information that you impart is stored and exactly who has access to that data.

    Sounds a bit paranoid?  Trust me!  Im speaking from hard earned experience I can assure you.
