You can lodge a complaint to the DWP. Your social worker can call them on your behalf and explain the situation too. Also ask him/her to check if you're entitled to any other help while awaiting an outcome.

Hi Rory40Anderson,
Unfortunately appeals do take a long time in some areas. If you can, ask a local advice agency about the delay (like a CAB). If it is longer than it should be for the area, you could consider a complain to the tribunal service.
Is the date 14.6.17 your appeal hearing date for the new claim? Good luck with it, and if you can, do ask your social worker or someone else to represent you, or at least help you get the paperwork to the tribunal. If you have an old claim and you also appealed against a mandatory reconsideration on that claim too, you can ask for them to be heard together. It might be worth taking all this to the CAB so they can check what's going on.
About what you can claim meanwhile, unfortunately there isn't anything you can claim to replace PIP, if it's a PIP appeal, although if you've got worse in the meantime it is sometimes worth putting in a new claim - but it sounds as if that might be what you've already done? If you're appealing against an ESA decision that you do not have limited capability for work, then you can get ESA whilst you're waiting for the appeal. It's not a new claim, it's your original claim being revived whilst you wait.
I'd also make sure that the local council know what is happening so that if you get housing benefit and/or council tax reduction you get the right amount based on your reduced income.
