First payment

in Universal Credit (UC)

Hi, I have just done my first claim. My ID has been verified and my statement was produced on Friday 2nd November and payment date is 7th November. However my first commitment appointment isn’t until 8th November will this stop my payment?

    If your statement says there's entitlement to UC this month then you'll receive it on 7th November.

    thank you. I’d read that you can’t get your first payment till after the first commitment appointment. But if I have a statement the payment should go in?

    If your statement shows there's entitlement this month you will receive it. Receiving a statement doesn't mean there's entitlement. If there were issues then the statement wouldn't have been produced.

    yes my statement shows £738 entitlement. Thank you for confirming, I have never claimed before so unsure how it all works. Thanks again :)
