Hi, firstly I would like to thank this amazing page for the advice I have received and other people's experiences i have read that have given me hope.
I originally had my award for enhanced rate daily living stopped in January this year (no mobility).
it has been a long stressful emotional roller coaster of a ride to get to my tribunal date on Monday this week.
I attended my tribunal on Monday which was nerve wracking, the panel were very kind and patient but I walked out thinking there was things I forgot to say and really thought I'd messed it up.
Postman came today with my dreaded decision letter (didn't receive it on the day), to my surprise I have been awarded daily living AND mobility at standard rate, over the moon doesn't begin to describe my relief that this terrible ordeal is over, for now.
Anyway, there is a point to this, my conditions are ALL mental health. Agoraphobia, depression anxiety and panic attacks and the panel recognised the difficulty I have regarding mobility. So, Teresa May might be trying her best to stop mental health claimants receiving mobility but the tribunal panels are still listening to us.
Dont give up or lose hope, appeals are not there to catch you out, they're there to listen and do the right thing good luck to everyone who is having to endure this draining process, I hope you are ALL successful x

Congrats @cottonbrain Love your username. No offence meant. Just to say Teresa May isn't stopping people with mental health issues from claiming mobility just stopping people from being able to say they can't go out due to anxiety and depression when there is no medical evidence to support this. I know this from experience of being awarded 0 points from my assessor for planning a journey and having to prove I had a long standing mental health condition with specialist intervention and treatment. Once they accepted that I was given enough points to take me into the higher rate...

Thanks everyone I appreciate it x
@wildlife Teresa may has pushed for 'other than psychological distress' to be added to the descriptor of mobility to be added, my point was that I was awarded 10 points for my psychological distress, which I think is important for people in my position to know. My username is totally me unfortunately lol x -
@cottonbrain If you claimed before last March then they should have been using the old rules. I had to argue that as well as they used the new rules for my MR when I claimed last December. Anyhow glad you've got an award you're happy with. Good Luck for the future..
