Do you get a random call to be assessed for wca?
I’ve had 2 missed calls today by an unknown caller . I had my phone on charge in another room while I had visitors . I’m worrying now that I might of had a call off them
And I havnt heard it to answer it . Admittedly I’d of probally hesitated anyhow unknown caller esp this time of year every dodge pot scam is at dodgy calls . Thing is I put my uc50 form
In about a month ago not heard anything yet and noticed a few people have had a call out the blue to do the assessment . Does that happen a lot ? Ty x

Out of the blue calls can happen with paper based assessments.

A paper based assessment is where you don't have a full length assessment in person or by phone.
As part of the paper based assessment, they can call you out of the blue to ask questions which are usually just a few.

For claimants who need a full assessment done over the phone they send a letter in advance.
But for claimants who are having a paper based assessment, the assessor can phone them during the assessment just to check one or two things. They were not aware they would need additional information before starting to read the forms, so they cannot send a letter in advance in that case. If you miss the call, it won't go against you, it just means they have to work with only the information they have available, which won't always be enough to make the award.
