If your 64 getting d l a do you still have to apply for pip

    Please see our Benefits Overview for information about PIP.

    It notes:

    "From October 2015 all working-age people still receiving DLA will be reassessed and if their claim is successful, moved onto PIP.

    If you were 65 or over on 8 April 2013 and receiving DLA, you can continue to receive it as long as you satisfy the entitlement conditions."

    I would also check the most recent DLA award paperwork you received to see if it mentions PIP.

    The DWP will contact you in due course and ask you to apply for PIP.  I understand that they plan to contact everyone still due to be re-assessed for PIP by Sept 2017 - but this date could slip because of a backlog.

    I've just got a letter to say I will have to apply now for PIP . I turned 61 last November. Just waiting now for my forms to fill in
