LCWRA Assessment and holiday
hi
I am just about to post off my husbands and my UC50 forms. I am worried that we have a prebooked holiday for 3 weeks that this will go against our application. I am not sure whether to mention this on the form or wait to hear back from them to see if we have to have assessments and then update them about our holiday then.
am feeling very anxious about this so would appreciate any help. We are due Tongerse about our first UC payments on 22nd February. Many thanks in advance

The holiday is for mid April and am unsure of how long the process takes once our application has been received? Many thanks

Hi,
The wait varies for assessments, some get one within weeks, others wait several months.
Going on holiday won't go against you, but you do need to be available for the assessment. If this is a UK holiday, and you have provided a mobile phone number, the assessment could still be done while you're away, so I don't see a need to declare that to them. If you're asked to a face to face then you can request to change that once if it falls within your holiday period.
If you're going abroad then I would declare that to them personally.
