Hi, my name is 1985gct! Debt to dwp will they deduct the whole amount from the back pay?

can anyone help. i have recently been accepted LCWRA i spoke to someone from dwp yesterday they said there is a backpay pending to me but wouldnt tell me how much. it needs to be confirmed and processed by a case manager? i have outstanding debt to dwp will they deduct the whole amount from the back pay or just a perentage?

    Hey @1985gct and welcome to the community.

    Congratulations on getting the LCWRA award. With regard to the debt, the DWP prefer to take lump sums, so often they'll take any backpay from other benefits.

    Hi @1985gct that's often how the DWP prefer to do things, but I can't say for definite if they would or not, you'd need to speak to the debt recovery team if you wanted to look into other payment plans.

    has anyone got the number to DWP? How do I contact them back dated money number?
