Changing address when claiming PIP
Hi, are you allowed to move home when you’re claiming PIP/universal credit? For my health I feel I really need to move from where I live but I feel scared to move in case the DWP use it against me and take away my support. I feel trapped

Absolutely you are free to move wherever in this country that you wish.
The only problem would be if you moved abroad.

Hi, thank-you so much for this advice. So the DWP can’t/don’t use this as an opportunity to haul me in for an assessment before my time? That’s what I’m worried about. I’m worried me moving will trigger my name on their system and they will summon me for an assessment and say things like if I’m fit to move then I’m fit to work? I’m currently receiving help via LCWRA on UC and PIP so I know I would have to notify both UC and PIP. Will either of them use it against me though as a way to take away my support from these two helpful payments?

No it's a simple change of address.
Nothing to do with triggering health assessments.

Hi and welcome to the community.
I moved home whilst claiming benefits and I had no problem from them.
