No, only 1 person can claim the LCWRA element and the other in your situation can claim the carers element.

Can I claim the carers element for my partner if I’m on pip also. Thanks0

Yes, you asked the same question on your other thread which i answered. Claiming PIP doesn't mean you can't claim carers element. As advised, one person claims LCWRA while the other claims carers element.

I no I do vaguely remember you saying you claimed for your daughter. (Sorry i don’t even know it that was you) So what do I say to Uc about me claiming the element. Thankyou poppy1

You will need to report a change of circumstances by signing into your journal and then click caring for someone. Then tell them that you care for your partner for at least 35 hours per week.

Can I only claim the carers element since our joint claim started which was around 2 weeks ago. Thanks0

ThanksIt will be included in your UC from the assessment period in which you reported the changes. You can't claim it before you claimed UC because you weren't claiming UC at that time. Before you lived with your partner, if you were still caring for them for at least 35 hours per week then you can claim carers allowance, which can be backdated for 3 months. Going forward though it will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.0
